I have read several threads asking for help making an economy tune.
Someone must know of some parameters to start with.
Granted we all have or want some type of performance gains but what about the rest of the time or maybe just on a long trip?
I say we compare some adjustments to get better mileage

RE: ECONOMYTUNE
I get about 2.5 mpg better than stcok with the 93 tune running 92 octane on summer gas blends. With winter ethanol it just sucks the life out of mpg! I have a custom tune to run 87 if it gets bad again, but you will get some KNK at hard acceleration and mileage is about the same-just saves some coin on prices.
My AWD Magnum gets 22 average city/hwy blended on the 93 iwth summer gas- in winter more around 20.

RE: ECONOMYTUNE
what??? If you want to tune for economy put a brick under the gas pedal so it only goes 1/4 of the way down...
The tunes don't do anything for closed loop. Well, ok, if you raised your idle rpm you'd burn a bit more gas while stopped.

gdragich,
I'd be interested to know what your custom tune looks like. Would be a starting point for me
