U7192 issues

U7192
GM06 2.05
2007 Hummer H2 SUT

I have several issues with this predator. I purchased the thing a couple years ago and installed a 87 octane, then later a performance tune.
First of all, I noticed it never could adjust the shift firmness at all, no big deal, but it should be able to do that.
Recently, I installed electric fans, stock GM stuff that connects to the PCM via a Nelson Performance cable.
Well, I tried in a variety of ways to get a tune for my Predator to activate pin #42.
That's when we started dealing with a communication problem between my predator and my laptop. To put it simply, the predator will not recognize being hooked up to the laptop or visa-versa. I am using the Diablo supplied serial to USB cable, and have tried now, I believe every driver known to man, but still no luck.
So the way I am looking at this, I think I need to start all over with a new predator. This unit obviously does not work properly, and I want to begin adjusting injector slope and other things since I have added many bolt-ons to the vehicle.
Basically, I need to either get predator smart with a functional unit, or move on to something much more capable, which I would prefer not to do.
So, folks can you help?Could I trade for a newer unit or trade/purchase?
I know we can get this thing to work if I can only get the predator to function properly.

Thanks!

Ok, first off you have an old unit.
Here is what it could do, http://www.diablosport.com/index.php?mo ... ay&pid=135

As for the activation of pin42 for the fans, no you can`t do it with the predator, you need to get the boyz at diablo to activate it in a tweek, they would need a copy of your original tune to do so, but with the older model ?

There is an update program in place, http://www.diablosport.com/index.php?na ... ic&t=10946

Copy all. Thanks for the info.
Looking at the RMA info, I'm in trouble again. It says to expect 30 days to get the unit back! I'm on break from Afghanistan, I don't have time like that. I guess I'm just cooked!!!!!!!!!
I'd ship it out tomorrow if it could be turned around quickly, but it doesn't look like that is the case, normally...

Call them tomorrow, explain the situation..I find it hard to believe they wouldn't try tp help you, given the circumstance. I assume you're in the military. If so, thank you for all you do....

OK,

I'll call them, see if they can do anything.

You're welcome! But, I'm no longer military, already retired after a full career. I still do exactly the same thing I used to do, a helicopter pilot, except now as a contractor. The combat forces over there, counting guys inside and outside of the wire are about evenly split between uniform wearing guys, and we contractors. In some unusual cases we actually see more combat than our brothers. I have been in Afghanistan now since early 2006, flown thousands of combat and combat support sories.
Thanks all the same, we're all on the same team!!!

First, Thank you for your service. I had my U7193 upgraded and turnaround was about 2 weeks. Maybe you can get it done and recoup some of the cost of the new unit.
