I assume you mean the dealer being able to view that the factory tune has been changed to the performance tune? I always flash my car back to stock if I have to take the car in for more than just an oil change.

The Predator will install your stock tune back to the vehicle at any time.

Bullydog also does not erase keystrokes or fuel consumption.

Just wondering if someone could clarify that the Predator does or does not clear key counts. Other forums insist that it does however, I've never seen that specifically stated here. Would like to know for sure. Thanks!

When you say "key counts" what are you referring to?

Honestly...I'm not exactly sure. Since I'm new to this it is what the folks at Mads Electronics (Smarty) are saying. The Smarty evidently does not clear key counts (which is also where they say the dealer will look first??) and that the Predator does. Mostly I've seen this info on www.cumminsforum.com posted by a guy named Bob Wagner who apparently works for Mads. Maybe someone else on here knows exactly what they're talking about and can chime in?????

Key Counts- how many times the trucks keys have been turned on. Almost all programers reset this # when you go back to stock. Then the stealership sees only a few counts & knows you did something to the truck. Instead of showing ,say, 267 it shows 9.

Yep...just found that out. Didn't know it was something that simple...duh. So is this something that the Predator does? If so, can this be fixed to where it does not. I know this is what the folks at Smarty say makes there's the best as far as undetectability...

But also...doesn't it clear this number when you or the dealer clear a code too?

Do you know if this is for 03-07 or just the new 06-07 trucks?
