I am using the 2005 6.0 model preadator and just put the new update's in it since i just got it back from the dealer from a new turbo at 50k miles. But it just don't feel as peppy as it use to. I am running the 100hp tune and it was rollin the black smoke out but now i do good to get a little puff. Whats the deal?

The newer calibrations just don't smoke like they used to, i have tried many varieties of changes but nothing seems to work on the newer ones. On a side not however, the newer calibrations/tunes did pick up an additional 100 ft lbs over the older stuff with quite a bit less fuel (aka helping longevity)

I just can't feel 100hp anymore though. I am having the same issues as the topic under " truck is a dog after warranty work done". the old tune would push you into the seat but this new one feels no different than stock tune. Has ford just blocked out these tunes for a while? And if i don't get any better service out of my 6.0 i'm looking to trade for the v-10. GOOD OR BAD?

You should def feel something, it should be night and day. Unless the tool is not writing but i highly doubt that. Why don't you blast me a copy of your original backup so i can play with it a bit?

I change them both with the oil everytime, 5000k miles. We run 3 Peterbilt's at our mill and i've learned from servicing them that it's cheaper to change em than to pay a hook to bring you home. It was running great before it went to Ford, the turbo was screeching bad at the first few seconds of startup when cold. But after that it ran fine. Both times they've had it, it has came back to where i have to update my tuner. Oh well.

Just put the tune that you e-mailed me and it said file already exists but i re-installed it...maybe i screwed it up somehow, although it's just about dummy proof. I will install it in the morn before the ride to work and see. Hope it works, i miss my old truck that rolled smoke.

It say's v.9t11c I tried it on the way to work and i couldn't feel anything on 100hp setting then i stopped and tuned it to the 60hp and i still didn't feel anything. It says that it is successful installing though. I don't understand it, it has always been night and day between tunes. Are there any way i can get the older tunes to work in it?

i sent you over a tune, give it a shot. If you don't feel this, then something is up.

Tried the new tune this morning and i can tell a big difference in the low end of it but the top end from about 1800-2000rpm on up it just falls on it's face.
