I have a 2010 Camaro that I bought the Trinity tuner for and have a couple questions. After playing around with the tuner for a short time I started logging to get my ltft's dialed in. First log, dslogredux recommends adjusting injector slope up 1, which I did. A couple hundred miles later, I run another log and dslogredux recommends going up another 1. Now I'm plus 2. Couple hundred miles later, dslogredux says up another 1 for a total of plus 3. Yesterday I ran my last log thinking I should now be good and dslogredux reports to go down 2. My question is if the ambient air temperature is what is making the difference? First 3 logs, the air temperature was between 15 and 25 degrees. The last log the temp was 50 degrees. All else was the same as far as same road, gear selection etc.
My second question is about ltft's and a dyno tune. On Tuesday I am having long tube headers installed along with a dyno tune. After having the dyno tune done, should I leave everything alone or should I still log and dial in the ltft's?

RE: LTFT questions
a-HA!
yep.. it's the air temp man... when logging, you want to make sure you do it in the same weather conditions - i.e. around the same temps - cuz it does make a difference, as you found out...
as for the dyno tune, make sure you restore the original backup stock tune to your car first - otherwise your trinity will be locked and you won't be able to use it later, since the custom dyno tune won't match the last tune that the trinity wrote to the car...
and if the custom dyno tune is done correctly, all your fueling and everything should be done for you already, so you shouldn't need to re-adjust it yourself....

RE: LTFT questions
Thanks for the reply and the tip on restoring the factory tune. I purchased the Trinity through Jannetty racing who is also doing the tune and lt header install so I'm sure they will restore back to factory. As far as the air temp, that's kinda what I thought since there were no other variables. If temps are a factor, why wouldn't the ltft's still be monitored after a dyno tune? For example, the car is dyno tuned in a heated garage at 70 degrees and the fueling is dialed in for that temp, than the car is driven in weather ranging from 5 to 100 degrees depending on the season. What's the difference between the custom and Diablo canned tune that ltft's wouldn't have to be monitored?
RE: LTFT questions
aaah, ok, that's cool then... Ted does good work and will create a custom CMR tune and install it to the trinity for ya... so make sure you bring it with ya when you go to have everything done...
the difference is that the custom tune will have the fueling adjusted correctly, so that the fuel trims aren't out of whack and making big swings to keep the AFR correct...
where are you located in CT??
I'm in Woodbury... and Jannetty's place in Waterbury is about 20-25 minutes from my house... heh...

RE: LTFT questions
Thanks for the quick response. I'm in northern NJ about 1 1/2 hours from Ted. Looking forward to finally meeting Ted after reading all his input on another forum. I feel very confident letting him do the install and tune. He's a class act. I may have some dyno numbers with the Diablo 93 tune installed, dyno numbers after reverting back to the stock tune (to see how much was lost), and final numbers after headers, hi-flo cats and a Jannetty dyno-tune. I'll keep you posted.
RE: LTFT questions
Oh yea, I forgot to ask. After Ted tunes the car and loads the CMR tune into my Trinity, do I have access, using the Trinity tuner, to that custom tune to modify certain parameters like I do with the canned Diablo tunes?
RE: LTFT questions
yes... you can still go in and modify parameters of the custom tune, just like with any of the preset diablo tunes...
