Ok Here is the Deal...I have a 2008 Cadillac Escalade that was Tuned with Cortex. It had a performance tune and everything was fine. I installed it at 11k miles and I was driving in tow mode and started to hear a rattle. DTC showed a mis fire. It went to the Dealer and I forgot to remove the tune. WOW...Well they found it so the warranty is voided...Ok....come to find out I broke a piston. Was Superchips Running my fuel too lean or what?...Well I love the fact that it was pretty good on handling for a 5k lb truck...So I will be tuning it again...Should I go to a Dyno Shop or Purchase a trinity and use the presets...oh on the cortex I was Using the preset settings.
1) Is the Trinity COMPLETELY undetectable when flashed back to stock? Can the Tech 2 detect it was once there?
2)How does the Cortex and Trinity Compare?
Thanks
Jay
3) what's the big deal with shell Gas? is it that bad?

RE: I need Help! 2008 Cadillac Escalade
yeah, shell tends to cause a lot of knock retard...
there is no comparison between the Trinity and the cortex...
and as long you you REMEMBER to restore the original backup stock tune to the truck BEFORE you take it in for any service work, they can not tell it was ever there...
of course, that point is moot now, since they already found out you tuned it with something before... so now you have been flagged in the system that your warranty is voided cuz you tuned it...
