Buying a used Predator.

Im thinking of Buying a Used predator U7194 from a friend and he says that it didnt work on his car because its a early production Z06, but he said that he only used it two times for clearing codes and erase faults because of his exhaust system and data logging..

So do u think its ok to buy it?

Plug it into your car and see if it boots to the screen that allows you to save your backup file. If you get that far you are probably good to go.

Bought the predator and installed the tune it worked fine but i didnt get the octane choosing msg where i choose which octane im running?? how do i get to choose it??

you should have one or two of these on your Predator screen:

-- 93 Octane Performance Tune -- which could be called either Diablo Tune or Predator Tune

-- 91 Octane Performance Tune, Corvette Only

-- 87 Octane Performance Tune, Truck & SUV only

-- Modify Factory Tune - which may be called Factory HP Tune

This tool only contains one tune for use with a minimum of 91 octane fuel.
We did not add any timing to these tunes as the cars did not respond to it, so there was no need for multiple octane tunes.
