If the tuner has been used on another truck and the factory setting from the truck has not been put back in to the truck can you reset the tuner back to factory so that it can be used on another truck. I am not worried about the truck factory tune that is stored in the tuner. I want to restore the tuner back to factory so it can be used on another truck. The unit was sold to me this way.

No, the only way to unlock this tool is to restore the stock tune back to the vehicle.

The tuner is basiclly a computer so I would think that there should be some way to reset it.

These tools cannot be used to tune more than one vehicle at a time.
Since there is another vehicle running around with the tune from the Predator on its PCM, this tool cannot be used to tune another vehicle until the backup is restored to that vehicle.
This is the main reason that we do not condone the purchase of used tools or tools from unauthorized dealers as you never know what you will get.
