Issues with my Trinity

Post by tyearly69 »

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 with 5.7l. I recieved my trinity in the mail yesturday and installed the programmer. I went to load the 87 oct programmer and load screen just stayed on for 45 mins then i just gave up and shut the truck off then back on. After i turn the truck back one the trinity said your program has been loaded. My question why does it take so long? Also, I can not get my gauge faces to change and can not get a background on the Trinity.

It shouldn't take nearly that long. Usually a few minutes at most. Something must have happened. What crom is on the Trinity? Options>Show Information. You may want to try reloading the newest crom.

Ihave the same issues i cant see any of my backrounds or set any of my gauges. when i load a tune there is no text or prompts just the load bar. like your install video theres a prompt above the orange status bar saying 85% complete mine does not display this. and after the first load the second bar flickers like crazy. i found after this if youturn the ignition off then back on again it will complete the install.

I did get the 93 tune on my 08 ram and all i can say is hats off to you guys this thing rocks. ive used the hypertech on 93 octane and it does not even come close to the power the diablo makes.

Try reloading 1r07. That has helped most people with your issues.

and after the update is installed, remember to go back through the trinity and you have to select your vehicle again before you do anything else...

does all of the functionality of the trinity work now with your car?? if so, then no need to update...

the incremental updates are for support for additional calibration id's for certain vehicles...

Make sure the connection at the Trinity is good. You have to push with some force. Lightly pull on both sides of the plug and make sure it doesn't move at all. If it does, push more.

Good to hear. What I ended up doing was taking a razor knife and shaving some of the plastic away from the Trinity body where the connector goes in. That made the connection a lot easier. I always got nervous putting that much force one such a small connection.
