I have a u7198 and just updated the latest software. However, I could not find an option for a 91 octane tune (CA). The options I saw were Performance tune and Factory HP tune. How do I access a 91 octane tune and second how do I disable skip shift (02 ls1 Camaro) Thank you!

the 91 octane tune is the diablosport performance tune. On some programmers they dont actually say 91 next to performance tune

for skip-shift... it's CAG's...

hook up to your car... select the same diablo tune you installed before, then go to Modify Tune... go to CAGs... highlight OFF, press the center button to save your selection... then press the ESC button a few times until it asks you "Install tune now?"

answer/select YES and it will install the diablo tune to your car with the cags adjustment you made.

confused... I was informed that the performance tune was a 93 octane tune.

yeah the diablosport tune is safe for 91 and 93 octane also known as premium fuel. For people with 93 octane tune they can add a couple degrees of timing (10% advance) to the performance tune. otherwise they will just use the tune as is if they have 91 octane in the tank.

monte is right that you should see CAGS as an option in the modify tune area of the predator.

I thought the Diablo tune was for 93oct? I have 91oct where I live, and I am running the 91oct tune. Would I see any benefits switching to the Diablo Tune?

where did you find this 91oct tune? Mine only has performance or factory HP.

I think you pick performance, then within that you picl between the two for a Manual trans.

The predator has different tune options depending on the application and software revision installed. Some will show factory hp, 87 octane, and diablosport performance tune. Some will say factory hp and 87 octane, 91 octane, and 93 octane.

It is kind of confusing.

If your predator only has three tune options (factory hp, 87 octane, and diablosport performance) then you can use the performance tune for either 91 octane or 93 octane but you must run a minimum of 91 octane. you can add some timing advance if running 93 octane fuel but you need to dial it back if you hear pinging.

If you dont see an 87 octane fuel tune in a GM gas predator then you should run a minimum of 91 octane fuel.

So my question is, Is the Diablo Tune safe for a engine using 91 oct?

if you only have 91 octane gas where you live, then only use the 91 octane tune...

the diablo tune, for 93 octane gas, has higher timing/more spark advance for higher octane fuel... so if you run that tune on only 91 octane gas, you'll get knock...

I still can not find this "91 octane tune" after I updated the predator.

and you won't....

cuz it's just called "Performance Tune" or "Diablo Tune" on yours...

it doesn't say the actual number "91" next to it, as was mentioned in the 2nd post up top...
