Transfer Tune From Predator to Trinity

I do not own a Predator or Trinity, however, I'll be owning both shortly.
The supercharger kit I will be ordering comes with a Predator and preloaded tune.
I will be ordering a Trinity to use for gauges and datalogging, but I would also like to use the Trinity to upload tunes.
Will I be able to transfer the supercharger tune from the Predator to the Trinity before even hooking up the Predator to my car? In other words, I don't want to use the Predator at all, I just need someway to transfer the tune to the trinity.
Thanks.

well. all depends on what revision the predator is on... cuz the tune formats are different between older revision predators and the trinity, so they can't be used between them...
also, in order to get the super charger tune from the predator to the trinity, you'd have to install the supercharger tune from the predator to your vehicle first (what IS your vehicle?)... then you'd have to export that tune from the predator to your Windows PC... then you'd have to restore the original backup from the predator back to your vehicle...
then you'd have to hook up the trinity to your vehicle, and install one of the diablo tunes so that the trinity saves the copy of the original backup to it. because it will not let you import a custom tune to it unless it has the original backup stock tune saved in it first.
then you'd need to import that supercharger tune that you saved to your PC from the predator, as a custom tune to the Trinity...
then you could install that custom tune to your vehicle.
but again, it all depends on what revision that predator is on first... if it's an older revision model, the tune files will not be compatible with the Trinity, and you'll need to get a custom tune created from it for your trinity...

Monte,
Thanks for such great insight!
I'm not sure what revision the Predator is...I haven't received the SC kit yet. Can you tell me which revisions won't work?
My car is a 2009 Dodge Challenger, 6.1L
Thanks again!

The tunes are all the same between the two, so use the pred to write the tune to the car, then export last tune written, then restore stock tune woith pred.
then, plug in trinity, let it read backup, and load the tune you exported from the predator to the trinity as a custom tune, and flash it to the car, voila.

Will this still work if your car is due for an updated CALID and you go ahead and update the CAL? Will the blower tunes written for the older CAL still work ok? When I ordered my blower they wanted to know what CAL was in it at the time so I am assuming tunes are written for a specific CALID.

they will have to update your custom tune for you so that the cal id in the custom tune matches the new cal id your car was updated with... otherwise, it won't let you install the custom tune if they don't match.

Ok thanks. Is there a way to tell what the new CALID# will be before I install it? I'd like to have the tune ready to go before I update.

...why bother let them update the calid if you have a blower??
are you having some sort of issue now?

I do have a few issues they need to straighten out. Plus the T won't let me into the performance options unless I update.
