everytime i try to update the crom if fails. been waiting 3 years for tcm support- u7194 nothing. i think diablo should do something quick about this. i see new producst form diable all the time. what about us who still wait for full funcationality from the producst we own. sorry if i sounds bitter but these tools are expensive and we clearly did not get what we paid for yet and i think unless that is fixed soon- something should be done. the same ole "we are currently testing' is cutting it

if your 7194 is 3 years old, then you have an older hardware version of it and it will not accept/take the newer, bigger revision update files... so that's why you're getting the error...
highest revision you'd be able to go up to is 9r08 or 9r10....
what revision do you have it on right now??

I got the shaft as well on a now 2 and a half year old Predator.
At best they'll suggest that you pay them $100 to update it...

I've got a 6 month old u7194, the time TCM support is available it will probably be outdated, maybe it already is. How does one tell if the u7194 is outdated, by S/N?

yea paying 100 is not an option. i bought the programmer and its i will be abLe to adjust TCM settings, but since i cant..and never will be with the tool i have now...it doesn't seem like it would be a good business decision to me if diablo asked me for 100 for something i should already paid for?
there are a lot of us in this boat and i think diablo should make amends. it sounds only fair to me.

I agree, but I've indirectly complained about it twice now and quite frankly, I doubt they care.
It would be different if they were supplying updates to say... a U8194 and I own a U7194. But no... instead I have a U7194, I just wasn't smart enough to wait until they were done supplying updates for it to buy one. Meh... silly me I guess.

i think they will help, but more of us need to voice our concerns? have them make it more of a priority? i like the product otherwise i would give up trying..

UPDATE- well I had a few emails from Mike, but it so far files he had sent didn't work still. In last 2 weeks i haven't heard from him (after two emails from me). so....not looking good. getting more frustrated. at this point (unless things change asap) i will persuade members on the gm truck forum i also a member of, to not order a diablo. For these silverado GMT 900 trucks, not all options are available (ummmm tcm?) and apparently customer support is not a strong point. -very unhappy and thinking something should be done.

Does anyone realize that the TCM stuff really doesn't do anything for you? If you have a cam or something you would need to maybe adjust the shift RPMs @ WOT, but as far as torque managment and such, there really is very little advantage to even programming the TCM? If you have a stock truck (with a few bolt-ons), there is no reason to screw around with the shift points, maybe play with pressure a little bit... You'll be very disappointed when you realize that you've waited for three years for.... little or no add'l excitement.

I'm with you 110% man....we tuned the crap out of the TCM in my buddies 08 5.3 sierra, and still would not do a burnout, and really did not feel any better. It did not perform any better at the track either.
Line pressure is nice, but is not the be all end all!

well maybe so, but still fact is we paid for that option and don't have it. but my real disappointment is that i cant even update my predator to any new releases. i think the newest release is 14 or 15 and i cant update past 9.

It is just a scam. But when the economy is the way it has been, can we blame them? We buy the U7194 and it is very easy for us to overlook that "not all options available for all models" line before we purchased this product. Then we get on here and voice our concerns, told that TCM is in the works, so we wait and wait for it. But eventually the warranty runs out and we just have to take it as another "that sucks" situation.
Anyway, I too am disgusted with the way this company is run. I'm still waiting to hear back from a couple emails I sent to diablosport to get my $100 for trading my old Hypertech for a Diablosport. I just had a new baby born and we could use $100. Yeah, I would like to see things get better with Diablo but I have too many other things to be concerned about in life.
