As the temperature gets warmer, LTFT's will go more positive (leaner) correct? Is there a rule of thumb, like for every 10 degrees warmer LTFT will move X amount?
Thanks
Warmer weather and LTFT's
RE: Warmer weather and LTFT
no... ltft's will go lower - more negative (richer)... warmer/hotter air is less dense, so you will actually be taking in a less amount of air into your intake... so you'll need to lean out your fueling a little by going more positive on your slope adjustment.
there's no rule of thumb... just do a new data log and check your average ltft's again, and re-adjust your slope to get them back into the 0 to -2 range...
you'll probably just need to go up by +1 or +2 from your current setting...

RE: Warmer weather and LTFT
Ok, warm air is less dense, so it has less oxygen per volume=less fuel
I'm clear now.
Thank you
