please let the tool read the backup and export the file, and email it to [email protected]
we will add it to the next revision.

Thanks for your fast response Mike.

Now I have other questions.

Do you have an ETA on this? A GM dealer can make a tune for it?

The thing is this, the predator is one I sold to a customer in another part of the country, it is a U8000 flashed to U7194.

I need to make the customer ship the unit to me leaving it married to the truck so I could get the stock read out of it and send it back to him, if nothing can be done in a few days I would have to call the deal off, refund the customer ans suck yet another shipping charge back to me.

I just want to know where I stand regarding a solution so I could handle this right with my customer and cut my losses, if it will end me having to refund the guy I prefer to do it know and save two shipping charges and his frustration.

well, if you have his predator with his original backup saved on it, then you won't be able to update it to a new revision anyway, since the original backup would have to be restored to the vehicle first, before you could update the predator...

he doesn't have the usb/serial cable and power adapter so that he could just hook it up to his PC and email you the files himself???

that way nobody has to ship anything, and the predator will be able to be updated once a new revision comes out...

I know that, I'm not new doing this stuff.

Not everybody is capable of doing reads out of a flasher, it can sound stupid for you and me but some people is just not computer inclined, and me as a dealer should give the best support and solve the issues easily for the customers.

Will you have an update ready in days? That is why I asked for an ETA. The last time I've got a similar issue with a FX4 calibration the "revision" took almost 6 months.

I can't hold this for more than a week or so.

I know what you mean about people not being computer saavy, have helped a lot of them myself...

as for a new update ETA, I couldn't tell ya... that's not anything I have control over - you'd need to talk to MikeL about that...


have you tried the new 9t15b revision they posted yesterday??? that has additional calibration ID's supported in it:

Now is my time to apologize, that sounded really rough, I'm kind of frustrated with these stuff.

I've flashed it with 9r14, the latest version available wednesday at dealer croms.

I'll wait on MikeL next week to see if it is included in that revision and then decide what to do.

Cool, I just want to know what to expect, if MikeL tells me that an update including that combination will be available in a week or two I'll hold everything till then, if it is going to take more then I'll call the deal off. I just don't want to keep the customer hanging with something that does not works.

Ok, great, I already requested them to flash the truck and sent the predator to me, tomorrow I'll send the file and once the update is out I'll make the drive and do the original backup/update/truck flash myself. Thank you.
