hi i would like to buy a predetor for my vxr8 which uses the ls2 engine im in the united kingdom and would like to know if this would work on my car. no one does any hand held units over here yet . thanks for your time

I doubt it...does it run GM calibrations?
What PCM is it?

yeah, but the programming for the euro ecm is most likely different... because that's not a U.S. car that is just exported to over there... it's not a U.S. car at all...

Technically, it's not the same as the G8 GT. It runs a different engine and transmission. The G8 GT has a L76 instead of a LS2.

hi think it does run gm calibrations . ive email somebody in oz to see if they programme the cars different for the us when they ship the cars over. would it help any way if i got number of the pcm . if they ship them that is. all i know is its a australian car with the gm ls2 engine .

if it has an E38 PCM, the U7194 will read the backup file, send it to me, and I will get it added.

If not an E38, not sure....

hi just had email from holdon and they say the holdonr8/ vxr8/ and g8 all share the same pcm but will check no first and let you know

hi have chected pcm and it is the e38. have ordered the u7194 should be here soon. so ill copy file from my car and send it to you. oh whats best way to send it please. i use 99 or 97 octane fuel can a programme be adjusted for this .

i wish they sold that high of octane at the pump here in the states!

I have 100 octane unleaded CAM2 (aka Sunoco GT100) right at the pump about 15 minutes from my house here in CT...



the last time I went to get some though, it was $7.68 a gallon...

They dont use the same method of calculating octane that we use here in the states...their 99 octane is like our 93....
