2010 Sierra + U7194

Post by DUBKinG999 »

Hi,
Is there any update for the U7194 so it can used on a 01 Sierra?

I tried with the 9r14 with no use.

Please help...

Thanks.

u7194 only works on 2007+ new body style trucks and SUV's. The 2001 Sierra is supported by the U7198: http://www.concoursdirect.com/99gmgasveprp.html

OK, are we talking 2010 or 2001?

what's the error message you're getting - unsupported vehicle??

if so, you'll need to let it read a copy of your original backup tune file, then export it to your pc and post it up here so your calibration ID's can be added to a new revision update to support your truck.

make sure it has enough memory, some don't to take the new crom great huh, if it's less than 2 years old and you have a reciept they can help.

if it says it does not recognize the truck, let it read the stock tune, export it, and send it to me.

The problem is I'm not an end user. I'm a retailer. So If I'd let the device read the vehicle that means I have to sell it for the customer. So I can't wait until the next update cause It might take along time and the customer won't wait as well.

What do you recommend?...

Thanks.

He already has the 9R14 update installed which means that his hardware supports the larger crom file that your predator could not. He has another "new" calibration from GM and, surprise, the crom file will now get bigger probably to support it.

well my new truck is less than a month old so maybe the new file would not work for me as well, memory is cheap I hope the newer u7194 have plenty of reserve.

memory is cheap for a thumbdrive but these are custom made boards with memory installed. The Predator is a 10 year old design so it has limitations that were not conceived of when vehicle calibrations were smaller and updates were less frequent. Trinity is a more modern in design because it has about 1 gig of internal memory and has an extra sd memory card slot for future memory needs. Predator doesnt have it.
