I am trying to load my exciting map from my truck to the preditor here is how,
options-custom tune-read extra tune...... Well here is what happens...options-custom tune- import tune /delete tune... On a following window it said that this option was obsolete. Please help me as I am trying to get all the requested data for a custom tune. Also what is GMLS2 interfaceinstaller? I have downloaded DS downloader and Dataviewer. Is this something else?
I am currently using U7198 with the 9r15 version. This is for a 2001 silverado 8.1l
Thanks for the help guys.

k... you have the newer version 7198.. so you have to use the latest version of the DSDownloader app to export the tune files, and follow THESE instructions:
Saving the original backup tune and current tune (Last Tune Written) to your PC:
1. Make sure you have installed the latest version of the DSDownloader app on your PC.
2. Connect your Predator/Trinity to your PC and power it up, and then run the DSDownloader program.
3. Once you open DSDownloader, click "Options" and make sure there is a check mark next to "Auto Connect".
4. Once Auto Connect is enabled, the DSDL will search for and find your Predator/Trinity on its assigned COM port.
5. Once it finds your Predator/Trinity, you will be taken to the Express Tune page. From here, click "Get tune file from Tool".
6. The DSDownloader will ask you if you want the "Original Backup" or the "Last Tune Written". Click "YES" in order to export a copy of the "Original Backup" tune file from the Predator.
7. Once the file has been exported from the Predator/Trinity, the DSDownloader may ask you if you would like to save it in the ".ori" file directory. Choose "NO" and select your own folder location, or your desktop, to save the file somewhere so that you can find it easily.
8. Your "Original Backup" tune file is now saved to your PC.
9. Now, Repeat the steps above in order to export a copy of the "Last Tune Written" - because the tuner creating your custom tune for you will need BOTH files. So, from back at the Express Tune page in the DSDownloader, click "Get tune file from Tool".
10. The DSDownloader will ask you if you want the "Original Backup" or the "Last Tune Written". This time, Click "NO" in order to export a copy of the "Last Tune Written" tune file from the Predator/Trinity. This file is a copy of the current diablo tune installed in your vehicle.
11. Once the file has been exported from the Predator/Trinity, the DSDownloader may ask you if you would like to save it in the ".ori" file directory. Choose "NO" and select your own folder location, or your desktop, to save the file somewhere so that you can find it easily.
12. Now your "Last Tune Written" tune file is also saved to your PC.
