egt gauge reads in volts
I just installed a egt moduale on my 03 cummins with a trinity. I setup a egt gauge in logging and it seems to work in the logging/record, but when I try to view it in moitoring instead of egt I see volt 0-5. What am I doing wrong?
I know when I did mine the Trinity recognized the egt kit after I installed it and had a "Diablo EGT" gauge option. I set up my own as well and it didn't read in volts only but was different temps than the diablo egt option. You can try changing the display units on the gauge but I don't think it's going to work properly unless you use the Diablo EGT parameter on the newer revision. Check this thread.

If your Trinty doesn't have the latest version on it I would download it, it does have some updates.
edit: just seen your other post about needing to reregister it, should take care of this when you get to update it.

No problem, it's a couple of the same things I went through. Mine were about 150 degrees difference as well and the Diablo tech said that the delta one is correct and according to some cummins forums thats about normal for egt temps. As far as the other gauges go I'm still trying to figure them out myself, just got the basics temps, boost, some mileage/trip gauges, Intake air temp, and still trying to figure out the fuel pressure.sawtooth wrote:Thanks for your help 3D, got it working. Sence I downloaded the updated my egts seem to be 150 degrees higher. Is that because it wasnt reading correctly before or is it just tuned better and running that much hotter. Is there anywhere I can look to find out what all the other gauge options do?
Not sure on that one, mine does not reset unless you change the tune but I haven't done a lot of digging on why. As far as the other fuel pids go, I have no clue, fuel pressure is all I've looked at on my race motors, gas, I'm still learning the diesel stuff.sawtooth wrote:Is there a way to reset the trip info without reinstalling the tune? I noticed that there is about six or seven different gauges that have something to do with fuel, any idea which ones are important?
