Last week my truck went down and I had to take it in to Ford. I didn't know at the time that they would have to replace the FICM and then reflash the truck so now my U7165 is locked and I can't retune my truck. Also I bought the programmer about a year ago but I have never run an update.... is the 9r11 to a place where it would be a good idea to download it? I've been reading that a lot of people have been having disappointing results from it. Thanks for your help.

You will have to contact tech support with the tool powered up.

how much does it cost to get a custom tune?

For some reason i cannot see the new 9r12 update.... i read that someone said you have to be logged in to see it but i am.... can someone whisper the secret to finding it to me please.

i have the 9r05 on my predator...... calid is vxbc9n8. can i even use the 9r12?

9r11 should work fine, but you need to unlock the tool before you update it.

yeah i have it unlocked. i just wanted to make sure that if i update it i won't loose any power because now that i have her back with the new FICM and fuel pump and she is really runnin strong! should i just stay with the 9r05?

if you are happy with it, then stick with it. The 9r05 has quite a bit of fuel in it though so watch those egt's

Thanks Don! Great job on the predator.... It really make my truck pull! I do have another question though...... if i run it in the 100hp tune and do NOT have a bigger exgaust could it cause any problems to my truck other than the turbo over heating?

Doubtful it will give you any issues however its ALWAYS a good idea to have an egt gauge. Exhaust would help your tremendously especially on the 9r05 100hp tunes. If you can't monitor egt's i wouldn't suggest running the 100hp as of yet.
