What Paramaters are Really available to adjust?

I hear no TCM, so can you adjust the torque management, to certain percents, etc, like the website says it can? If so, what are you losing by no TCM, just fluid/line pressures and shift points?

What is it exactly that you can tune with just the predator? I need it spelled out :D Is there a link to this information somewhere I can't find? Thinking about buying one. Thanks!

here's the product info for the 7194 model predator you'd need for your truck, with a listing of the adjustable parameters...

or, you can go with a Trinity for your truck as well... has more features, better data logging, and there will be more features coming/available for it in the future than there will be for the predator... ;)

Thanks, specifically I'm wondering what exactly you can do with the torque/abuse management (gm nannies). I guess there's an engine TM and a tranny TM, delays, etc.

If you look there, it tells you about torque management, and imply's that you can input certain percentages, etc. I was thinking you did that through the TCM.

What exactly is NOT adjustable, that would be adjustable with TCM adjustments? Thanks!

There is nothing for transmission adjustment available. The tunes do have the engine torque management reduced signficantly.

and it also states that not all options are available on all model predators...

those tranny options are for older vehicles, other model predators...

the vehicles that the tranny stuff is available on, are older and have a single PCM (powertrain control module) that controls both the engine and the tranny settings... so that's why those vehicles have access to the tranny settings.

newer vehicles, like yours, mine, basically any newer GM vehicle from model year 2006.5 and newer - do NOT have a single PCM for both the engine and tranny... they have individual modules...

there are separate modules... an ECM (for the engine) and a TCM (for the tranny)...

and at this point in time, there is no TCM support, so you can not adjust any tranny settings.

but, if there WAS tcm/tranny support (but there isn't for you), you'd be able to adjust the shift points, shift speed, shift pressure/firmness, TM, etc etc.

hope that clears it up for ya...

Clear as day. I think I'll wait for TCM support if I don't get a custom tune done first. Thanks for clearing it up (much better than me buying one and finding out later that the listed features aren't really there "for all models").
