So im woundering if im the only one whos trinity doesnt turn on by itself, only shuts down. Says something about waiting for engine to start then shuts down...ok thats cool. so i start the engine......?........nothing........drive 2kms...........nothing. What gives

ps just bought it, works great besides that, still needs more updates(read outs etc etc.) downloaded lastest update b4 install.

So, you let it go to sleep in the 'monitoring' mode?

Then it wont come back to monitoring by itself?

Ya pretty much. I shut the truck off in monitoring mode......sometimes the screen stays on for 5mins then just shuts off. And the other half of the time it says sumthing like shutting down, waiting for engine to start. Most of the time i have to hit a button and then push back and click back on the custom gauge page i layed out for it to start reading again(thats after i start it up) . Theres only been a handfull of times where it turnd it self on. All concetions have been double checked and checked again. I updated just the other day. The unit is no more then a week old.

This is curious, I will try to duplicate.

So again this morning I was expecting trinity to not turn on, but it did...?! Very strange. I will keep trying differnt things. I kinda had a thought too, I have a few pages layed out with gauges, will flipping through pages while engine running afect the trinity turn on mode the next start up? What tells the trinity to turn back on when shut down in monitring mode?....

my trinity is doing the same thing, just wondering if you figured it out? Only problem i've had with it other than that love it!

I have the same problem with my '05. Only once has it automatically restarted when I started the truck. I did notice that the EGT reads correctly even when the other gages do nothing on startup.

Any progress on this issue? It is annoying having to "restart" it every time I start the truck. As soon as I shut off the key, it loses data connection. Turning the key right back on doesn't help it connect.

Any update on this problem of the Trinity starting back up when the ignition is turned on? I just loaded the last incremental update and it didn't help. What was the last update supposed to change or fix?

sounds like alot of us r having this same problem. Hopfully it gets addressed soon.

Engineers seem to always be too busy to correct this issue, and it is just at big an issue for the SRT-4 guys. What is interesting is that this issue did not exist before the most recent updates on the SRT4.
