RPM's stay around 2500-3000 between shifts w/manual

Post by tonygug »

I have a 2003 Mustang V6 3.8L 5-speed with a Pypes Performance Complete Converter-Back Dual Exhaust, a K & N cold air intake and Hardcore 8mm 0-ohm wires set. After I installed the predator performance tune the engine’s RPM’s seem to hang around 3000 RPM’s between shifting. Also when I stop it takes a few seconds for it to come down to the Idle RPM setting. I have Predator model U7146.

Any Reason Why?

Should I lower the Rev Limit in Neutral, wil that stop the RPM's from hanging between shifts?

Thanks

tonygug, If you run it on the stock tune does it have the same issue? It sounds like an issue caused by an altered maf signal due to the K&N. Try the stock tune and let us know. If the issue goes away please supply us with your calibration ID and the tune you are using. We will have an update for this tool very soon.

Kevin,

I will try it over the weekend and get back to you, but this issue did not start until I installed the diablo performance tune. I did drive my car with the K&N for two weeks with no problems before I received the Predator and intalled the performance tune.

Thanks,
Tony
