05 srt 4 cannot adjust boost

Post by dacheese »

Hello,
I have been messing around with the predator for a few weeks now. The problem I am running into is adjusting the boost levels. No matter what % I adjust the boost I get 15 psi. I am using the stock waste gate on PCM control. Mods are 3 inch catback, 3 inch 02 housing, 180 t stat, AGP CAI.

I think you may be reaching the limit of the stock wastegate actuator. It's spring is just too weak. You may have to go to a stage II WGA it has a stronger spring and should let you hold more boost.

Where are you seeing 15 pounds, at redline? If so I wouldn't worry. The little turbo runs out of steam. It should spike about 20 and fade to around 15 at redline. It has nothing to do with the WGA.

Going through the forums my understanding is that the best WGA to use is the stock one. I am holding 15 pounds at every rpm range, not just at redline. I do have a AGP wga sitting in the garage. Would it be best to put it back on and get a rescale? If so after running a rescale would I run the AGP on or off PCM control?

Sell the AGP WGA and just run the stock one. Have you checked the car for boost leaks?
