gto tuning issues

Post by woodiec »

06 gto-- I made a custom tune for the vehicle. I think everything went ok.
I want to know if my customer is able to still go into tool and make adjustments--- air fuel, fans, idle, etc... He said he tried and I tried and cannot. If you go to last tune written section-- it says _custom tune_, so apparently my tune is still in the vehicle. If we cannot do this, what did I miss or can we simply not do this. Please let me know asap.

yes, he should be able to....

he needs to select the same custom tune he installed, then go to Modify Tune... and whatever he was able to adjust with the slp tunes, he will be able to adjust with the custom tune.

if he needs those items adjusted, why not just do it in the custom tune??? that way, he can just load the tune and go, no need to worry about having to make further adjustments to a "custom" tune...

when you go to the custom tune box-- install tune, it has 5 tunes-- 421 bobcat, 455bc, 490bc, factory hp and original back up.
when i installed th custom tune-- import, export etc.--- I plugged tool in, it said install tune, the only tune then was the custom tune in the tune box-- so i installed it and that was that. I did not think any adjustments needed to be made after installing the custom tune and after dynoing the car, after the tune was installed --- so I never tried to adjust anything by the tuning tool.
Again-- customer wanted to play around with the tune and tried, was not able to and so here we are.
What did I do wrong?? If you look at last tune written-- it says custom. Thanks for the help MonteSS. Let me know what you think.

when you select Custom tune - you should get to the next menu with two choices.. Install Tune or Modify Tune...

so, select Modify Tune, and you should be able to make adjustments to parameters that are listed...

when you power it up and get to the main menu... you have "Custom Tune" there... so you select "Custom Tune"... then, what choices do you have on the next screen?

Lew, we spoke on the phone, it looks like the customer may have erased the custom tune...
