:) predator p/n u7194. rev.V.9r14 2009 chevy 4x4 5.3 flex fuel .
Mods: cold air intake, flow-thru catback ext duals.
I installed the 87 octane tune on Monday it smoothed out the motor and better low to mid range torque. Kudos on the program. :D
What I need to about the 87 octane tune is:
1] Did it change the shift points ?
2] Did the speed cut-off at 98 mph get changed to a higher mph?
3] I'm planning on running headers, long tube with cats if I can find them , or it will be shorty's.Will the 87 octane support it change ?
I live in Tucson.Az, The alt.here 2500 ft and drier air most of year. Most cars and trucks run a little rich less dense air.How well does the programer support this desert area? Can I change shift points and speedo cut-off higher and maintain 87 octane tune. I will also be going to a 33" tire in the future. Can I make these changes to the 87 tune and how do I do this . The instu. manual does not break it down. I don't want to start pushing button's without the understanding of the system. I work on jets and watch people push button's without maintance's maunals and mess up the ecu's I don't won't to be that guy.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

1 - no...

2 - yes, it should have...

3 - yes... just do a new data log after the install and re-adjust your fueling as needed, to get your average ltft's in the 0 to -2 range...

no, you can not change shift points... there's no tranny support for your vehicle at the moment...

yes, you can adjust for the bigger tires... you'd select the same 87 tune as you installed before.. then select Modify tune... scroll down to the correct parameter for the tire size - select it... make the adjustment/change.. save the change, install the modified tune to the truck...
