First time user

Hey - I have a couple stupid questions as this is my first time out with a programmer and I want to be sure I don't damage the vehicle. Are these the correct steps to load up a new tune?

- get into vehicle, turn all accessories off, close doors
- turn ignition key to run position
- plug tuner into data port
- carry on with tuning
- unplug the tuner while the truck is still in run position / off position / or can you start it etc... once the tuning is done?

I'm mostly curious as to when you're supposed to plug it in and unplug it as this wasn't super clear in the manual.

Onces the tune is in the vehicle the predator should display a massage on the screan that will tell you is ok to uplug the tool. and even if the ignition is on the on position you may go from there to start the vehicle or you can always turn off the ignition and then go ahead and start the vehicle, with or with out the tool plug in , hopes this helps..
