Trinity will not power on in vehicle

I have a 2005 GTO M6 (LS2)... I was able to connect my recently purchased trinity to my laptop and register it. However, when I went to plug it into my vehicle it will not power on. I have made sure it was firmly connected on both ends and tried several times. I'm not sure what to do to troubleshoot this issue. The only thing I can think of is maybe it's the port in my vehicle that is bad? Or maybe it's just a bad fuse? I plan to go through the fuses after work today and check them all for a bad one. I would appreciate any advice. I don't want to just stare at something I paid $600 for i'd like to start enjoying it with the ease they claimed on the ads.
Thank You

check the cig lighter fuse, and any aux. port fuses... the obd port gets it power from those...
also try connecting it to another car's obd port and see if it powers up...
cuz if it powers up via the laptop connection, then there's nothing wrong with the trinity itself...

I tried changing the fuses and it didn't fix the problem. I also tried plugging the trinity into another vehicle and it did not power on. The cable that plugs into the OBDII port looks ok as far as I can see but I am beginning to think that this may be the problem. I did some searches on the forums and it seems like I am definately not the first person with this problem. What do I need to do to get another cable?

k.. since it does power up when you connect it to your PC via the usb cable, then it sounds like the OBD cable coming out of it is bad...
you'll need to contact tech support Monday morning and get things going in order for you to send it in to get repaired...
