Loose Internal Connector Wire
Loose Internal Connector Wire
Alrighty, as I griped about a looong time ago, my Predator long ago decided that it didn't want to continue connecting to my truck, so I decided to try to figure out why.
Apparently, one of the connector wires being fed into the circuit board connector came loose. The yellow one on the end, to be precise. As far as I can tell it's not the only one loose, yet also as far as I can tell, there's no way to put it back in.
Might anybody know the particular model of the connector piece used in the 2007 SUV U7194 from the 06-07 model? Also, where it can be purchased?
Or it would be wonderful if Diablo volunteered to send me the piece.
Or if someone wanted to give a quote on how much it would cost to send me a whole new connector cable (OBD-II Port connector to MOBO connector) that'll work too.
Also if it helps, the wire pattern is White - Blue - Green - Brown - Yellow

RE: Loose Internal Connector Wire
Nope. Not unless yall wanna extend the warranty to 3 years, then I got some months left
RE: Loose Internal Connector Wire
Annnnnnd bump again...
RE: Loose Internal Connector Wire
you can't resolder the wires to the board?
RE: Loose Internal Connector Wire
It's not a soldered design. It uses a small connector to make contact. Granted I could cut the connector port off and PROBABLY solder the wires, it's uncertain as to whether or not that'll work. If the contacts are too small, I can't solder it.

And bumped again...
RE: Loose Internal Connector Wire
Need an answer on this... any answer will suffice.
And just in case someone decides to answer, I have another question
If I have a backup of my original stock tune file, can it be moved to another Predator in order for it to be restored to my vehicle?

RE: Loose Internal Connector Wire
dunno about your initial question...
but, as far as the original backup goes... you would have to import the original backup tune file into the predator as a custom tune... then install it to the car as a custom tune...
then you'd have to get the predator reset/unlocked...
then use the predator on the car again and it will save the tune as the "original backup" tune...
that's the only way you'd be able to get it saved in the predator as the "original backup" tune file...
