Huge fuel gain on performance mode!!!!!

Drove my 05 with the programmer on the performance mode, picked up 5.5mpg on the freeway up to 26.5mpg the only other thing I did was switch all my gearboxes to Royal Purpal Synthetic, and put in the Dynomite Diesel Fuel additive (cleaner). That is hand calculated 435mi x16.4gal.

Don't go by the overhead. I promise you your mileage wont be that good hand calculated.

Yeah, the computer is completely wrong! I have an 05 Cummins Quad 4x4 long bed with 6spd and 'puter read anywhere from 18-22 before the predator (hand calculation typically ended up with 16.5). With the Predator the 'puter now reads 35-45!!! Hand calculation is still 16.5. I get on it occassionally so the no gain in MPG is offset by the thrill of screaming torque. The beauty of the 6 spd is absolute control of RPM... at idel the truck will go 30 mph in 6th gear. As you may know, if you bog the engine or put your foot down you'll create a lot of smoke. So if I don't pay attention to downshifting and keeping the RPM above 1500 it looks like a smoke bomb is stuck in my tailpipe! Let's just say others don't like it when I pass 'em, especially motorcycles and convertibles! Get out of the left lane!!
