ON/OFF Switch ON CORD

Post by Stone2500 »

I was wondering if you could produce a cord with an integrated on/off switch so those of us with FOB issue could simply switch off vs unplugging each time.

Would also be ideal for the guys who are having battery drainage issues.

I have a better idea. FIX THE PROBLEM! Ok, got that out of my system. :)

I think that at this point, its never gonna be fixed, so any workarounds would be helpful.

Same. An on / off switch on the device seems pretty basic. I had the same thought, but figured there was some logical reason not to have an power switch. Perhaps, so that people don't turn off the device while dialing in a tune???

I agree this issue is never going to get fixed, but I just don't see the need for a switch. It really isn't any different than unplugging the unit. Either way you have to remember to do something, and then you have to accept the stupid ass warning every time you plug it back in.

ummm... how 'bout just reach down an unplug it from the obd port??? reach down to flip a switch on the cord, or reach down and just unplug it...

that's what I do... I never leave mine plugged in.. why leave it plugged in 24/7????

not making an excuse here, so please don't take it that way... I just don't see the big to-do about leaving it plugged in all the time... if I'm gonna monitor or log stuff, I just reach down and plug into the obd port, takes 2 seconds....

I timed it! It takes 5 times longer to unplug/replug than to switch on/off.

We shouldn't have to unplug it and plug it back in, that's the point. Had it not been advertised as the ultimate tuning and monitoring solution, and had we been told that it needs to be unplugged when the vehicle is turned off it would be a different story.

To be honest it is pretty disappointing that their flagship product has this issue, and has had it for so long. In my opinion it is completely unacceptable especially since they knew about this before releasing it to the public and did nothing about it.
