I have just installed a trinity on my 07 Ford f150 5.4L supercab 4x4. I have been very impressed with the premium tune. It makes a big difference and the trinity is easy to use. My concern is that my check engine light stays on. I checked codes and im getting the typical p0605 and p1000 which from what ive read are normal codes. Ive tried both the 87 octane tune and the premium tune and the CEL is still on. Is there a way to get rid of the light or is this something everyone has to live with having a tuner? Also has anyone had good luck with the Roush Tune and Intake? Thanks.

Hmmm...those codes should not turn the light on.
Any chance you can export a copy of the original backup file and last tune writtenand post them here or email them to me to check out?

RE: F150 Check Engine Light
Okay thats what i thought that the CEL shouldnt be on. I put the original back up in last night and the CEL went away with no error codes and no problems so i loaded the premium tune again and after the second key cycle the CEL flashed and stayed on while running. Same codes as before. So i reloaded the back up until we have a solution. The CEL only comes on with a tune installed so im assuming the PCM doesnt like the premium or 87 tunes. I did not make a copy of my original backup tune. I do however some information from the trinity. Trinity Serial-6JU8928 V.1r07 Born 01/11/2010 Cal id PCM- RXDG4B2Hex Partno.-7L3AGKE. If u need to open up my original backup file i could copy it i just dont wanna mess it up so directions would be awesome. Could this be fixed with a patch im just surpirzed im the only 07 f-150 with this problem.

RE: F150 Check Engine Light
Any Ideas Mike? Im going to try reloading the 1r07 software to see if that fixes it. Anyone out there getting a check engine light on these years of f-150s with same codes as mine? Please let me know.canadianf150 wrote:Okay thats what i thought that the CEL shouldnt be on. I reloaded the software into the trinity and reloaded the premium tune. I took it for a drive and no check engine light. Parked it and keyed off and on several times and restarted no codes at all> no p0605 or p1000. Im taking it on a longer trip tommorow and see what happens.

RE: F150 Check Engine Light
It is working, no check engine light no codes nothing at all. I think mine came with corrupted software and was missing some files or something. I also get a screen i didnt have before when u check the last tune written it says the tune and what vin and pcm hex file which i didnt get before. This might explain some of the other problems people are having possibly? ill keep you posted if something should change.
