2005 F150 5.4 - Trinity Won't Save Original Backup

Post by smowry »

P/N u7151 f150, v.1r07

I am getting the following error messages when plugged into ODB connector:
Invalid cut data
Original backup not saved ( -11)
PCM: Error Reading (-1)

If I click more info, I get a message that says the vehicle may have already been tuned. But I am the original owner and I have never plugged a tuner into it before today!

Ok, that sounds like there is a connection issue on the trinity, make sure it is firmly connected where it plugs into the trinity and both sides of the cable are clipped in.

IT DOESN'T!

Maybe I should return it and buy another vendor's product!

Does it go through the read process?

Best bet would be to give us a call with the tool powered up in the truck so we can see whats going on here.

Thanks Mike! This seems to have fixed my problems with the Trinity. I was able to back-up my system and load the 87 K&N tune. What was causing the problem?
