2004 Avalanche will not accept tune from U7193

Post by crank »

I recently sent in my Predator U7193 to get it updated as I wanted to use it on a newer pickup and could not do the Internet downloads with it at that time. I got it back and attempted to upload the 87 octane performance tune. The first time I did this I also tried to modify a few different settings and while uploading it would get the original then it would start to upload the tune to the pickup and around 15% or so it stopped and said it was unable to upload do to an Unknown Error (). So the next time I tried to upload the 87 octane without modifying it and it did the same thing. Any Ideas?

AstroStart, & Sub Amp (Had this switched off). I do have OnStar and did not pull the fuse but I was in a large tin shed and the two attempts were on different days

I'm curious too... I have the same vehicle, same tuner, and same problem.

ANYTHING and EVERYTHING aftermarket has to be disabled/removed/fuse-pulled...

so the remote start, the sub/amp, and anything and everything else... etc etc

I unplugged the the astro start, pulled the fuse for the sub amp, and pulled the Radio, Info, and Radio Amp fuses on the pickup. Tried it twice with the same results as before. What now?

Is there an aftermarket radio wired up in the vehicle?

My pcm got screwed because of a brake module for my trailer. Had to get the pcm reflashed. unplug everything. Then I saw some post about this after that that said after all this is unplugged, disconnect the battery for a while then try again. But check the posts for sure. I did a search in the forums for "pcm reflash" on the posts and saw this.
