Hey all

I have a question 06MonteSS.

I am having problems with the shift feel and timing on my car. I have the pressures maxed for the max firm shift and the shift timing set to quickest. Now when i first install the tune the trans shifts nice and quick and firm. It will bark the tires 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Once a week of daily driving goes by the thing shifts slow and soft. I can't even come close to full throttle shifts because the thing shifts so slow and soft it slips horrible. Now if I go back in and do a slight adjustment to the perameters and reinstall the tune the trans will shift fast and hard again. The trans is a GM SRTA replacement with about 2200 miles on it. It is at the moment stock so i dont void the trans warrenty.

My question is: can the tune be modified to dissable the adaptive shifts or is there anything else that can be done to fix this problem? I can always put a shift kit in and i already have a servo for it but id prefer not to have to modify it yet. I have removed the tune and it shifts soft and slow on factory tuning.

Thanks

Adaptive shifting is what causes the opposite problem for me, program learns then locks until you reset it with a key cycle. Why shouldn't there be a way to remove this?

there are no available parameters in the tune template for adaptive shifting settings at all...

Ok thank's for looking. I'll have to do the shift kit then sometime soon. Don't want to kill this new trans like it did the original.
