I just got my U7140, version r35 for my '05 Mustang GT last weekend. I loaded the 87 performance tune and all was good. I filled up with 93 on thursday and later that night I installed the 93 performance tune. When the install was complete, it said to unplug the tool, I took it out for a test drive. Everthing was fine.
I decided I wanted to disable my traction control after I got back. When I plugged my Predator in, it powers up but I get no info on my screen. I have tried plugging it into another Mustang as well as with just the proper 12v DC supply, and still no info on the screen.
I know in the back of the manual it says to return it for a warranty exchange for this exact trouble, BUT, now I am stuck with the 93 tune installed and no way to reload the stock tune if I have an issue!
It's no big deal to do the exchange, but how can I get my original tune back?

First of all, on the back of the Predator there is a contrast adjustmant screw. Try turning this in small increments to see if the screen comes back. If not, then please contact our tech department at 561-908-0040 to recieve an RMA to send the tool in for repair. We will keep the stock tune on the Predator for you and send it back with the tune in it.mustp51 wrote:I just got my U7140, version r35 for my '05 Mustang GT last weekend. [quote="mikel"][quote="mustp51"]I just got my U7140, version r35 for my I have to tag onto this one.
A few weeks ago after performing the r35 update, I went to load the CNL tune, and the screen went black. After contacting tech support, and trying the contrast adjustment, I sent the tool in for repair. I received it back this week with a new screen to correct the problem.
After going through the proper steps, I reloaded my CNL tune verses being stuck running on the stock tune. (much better) A few hours later, after getting a larger tire installed, I went to chance the tire setting and when I plugged the unit into my car, the screen went black again.
I have again tried the contrast adjustment and no luck. Do you know what is happening? I loved having all the manufactures basic tunes in there, but now my speedo is off and I cant see the menus to make the proper change.
I also tried to view the menus using the power adapter, but no luck with that either.
Do you know what it going on? I used to be able to plug in whenever I wanted and never an issue, now it seems after the second plug in, the screen goes.
Ahhhh, please help.
Thanks
