LOGGING & ADJUSTING INJECTOR SLOPE & PE abilities on

Post by joeyz71 »

Hey 06MonteSS, 'sup? Am I going to have these abilities with a sprchgr custom tune w/ a U7195? I think I am  .
For the ltft and PE checks, are you just cruising at a steady 65 mph to lock into a certain RPM and see how the ltft's are and how the ECMs PE handles it?
If we can change btwn the 2-4 and 4-7K rpm, shouldn't we then hold a rpm in a gear that keeps us there?
And the WOT, Can or should it be done any time during cruising or from stop to get the whole rpm range.
Is the ECMs job for ltft and PE in gears 1, 2, or 3 any different from one another while it's in each gear? I don't mean during shifting, when you're pulling those gears. Hope I worded that ok.
I appreciate your advice. I'll try and apply some of this to my stepsons 01 5.3 Silverado. I sold him the truck with U7198 and headers, Flowmaster and supercharger. Now I got a 03 5.3 Silverado and I traded him the wheels off my new one for his sprchgr. I have a U7195 on it's way to Diablo to be unlocked (longer story). So I'll experiment w/ his and be a little smarter, or more dangerous, for when I'm ready to do mine.

RE: LOGGING & ADJUSTING INJECTOR SLOPE & PE abilitie

yes, you can still adjust the slope and PE fueling. I cruise on the highway at 65-70 - to keep up with traffic, but the manual says to do it at 55. Not sure why or if it makes a difference.

we can only change the 2-4 / 4-7 ranges for WOT (Power Enrichment), so when you're going WOT, you're hitting those RPM ranges anyway.

you can do WOT however you like - from a dead stop, or from a roll... me, I have nowhere to do it from a dead stop, so I do it on the highway... slow down to about 50 then I nail it.

if you follow the tutorial, you'll be all set. if you have any other questions when you go to do it, you can email me at: lewis DOT eaton AT gmail DOT com

or, let me know if you have any instant messenger screennames at all, I'll add you to my buddy list and we can do it that way - quicker ;)

Yes, the IM will work for me. I'm in a hold status for now due to my proggy being on it's way to dsport. I'd rather just go for the gold than tune the '01. You know; it's all about me me me.
Seriously tho, thanks.
