For the ltft and PE checks, are you just cruising at a steady 65 mph to lock into a certain RPM and see how the ltft's are and how the ECMs PE handles it?
If we can change btwn the 2-4 and 4-7K rpm, shouldn't we then hold a rpm in a gear that keeps us there?
And the WOT, Can or should it be done any time during cruising or from stop to get the whole rpm range.
Is the ECMs job for ltft and PE in gears 1, 2, or 3 any different from one another while it's in each gear? I don't mean during shifting, when you're pulling those gears. Hope I worded that ok.
I appreciate your advice. I'll try and apply some of this to my stepsons 01 5.3 Silverado. I sold him the truck with U7198 and headers, Flowmaster and supercharger. Now I got a 03 5.3 Silverado and I traded him the wheels off my new one for his sprchgr. I have a U7195 on it's way to Diablo to be unlocked (longer story). So I'll experiment w/ his and be a little smarter, or more dangerous, for when I'm ready to do mine.
