Would colder plugs reduce knock retard?

Okay, I've verified that my part throttle knock is NOT false. It goes away with NOS booster in the tank. That said, I'm going to change my plugs (to Bosch Ir Fusion, which I had good luck with on my Bimmer). Would going one heat range colder possibly reduce the KR, or maybe 2 or 3 ranges colder (rather not as I'm still N/A).

I know this worked on my GTP (Supercharged), but I'm not sure how much of an effect it will have without the blower.

I only wanna do this once. My wholesale cost of $7 a plug, times 16 plugs, gets pricey. At least I don't have to pay the $12 retail price though.

You dont want to hear my answer....skip those exotic plugs, waste of money.

Go get some nice, copper NGKs in a heat range cooler if you like, and go for it.

Another option would be to have AJ adjust the part throttle timing....if it goes away with more octane, it generally means it does not like the amount of timing being commanded on pump gas...

Okay, I'll try NGK V-power. They don't come in 1 or 2 heat ranges colder, so I'll have to go with the 4306 which is the stock heat range

Just an update on this. I was at AJs today. My motor has a misfire for some reason (we don't know why yet). Since he has no time to deal with it right now, I'm gonna do the plugs myself. He suggested that I do use Iridium plugs. He recommended the NGK IX Iridium, but since I had no luck getting those locally, I went with the Bosch Ir Fusion like I originally was gonna get. Part number 4513 is 1 heat range colder.

Motor is cooling now, I'll start pulling plugs in the AM. The misfire is on the passengers side, but I'm changing all 16.

Don't know yet. The plugs are back ordered. The place I was originally gonna get them from wanted to charge me an extra $3 a plug. I ordered them from Summit, and they've been pushed back continuously. They're expected on the 23rd.

If your changing spark plugs on the 5.7L I highly suggest using factory NGK plugs. Engineers design the engine to work with a certain type of spark plug. The thread depth and heat range come into affect, and could potentially cause more knock / detonation. As for using high priced precious metal spark plugs (platinum, iridium, ect) they are a waste of money unless your engine came with that type of plug already. They just burn up faster, and cost more $$$. Trust me, 16 NGK plugs from my local dodge dealer was roughly $100. Gapped them and Swapped them all out in about 2 hours in my driveway ('12 Ram 1500 5.7L 2wd Reg cab short bed)
