I have downloaded a lot of different driver and finally got one to work thanks to the link a post 2 down from this one Now My computer senses the predtor but the software doesn't.

I have tried everything in the FAQ (changes ports, turned off firewalls, ran as admin,)

I also did the Hyper terminal test, Here are my results:

I'm looking for some help and I'm about the pull the little hair I have left out.

Try the following:
1) Make a note of the baud rate and com port Hyperterminal is using. Then close it. (It will prompt. "Do want to disconnect now?". Select Yes)
2) unplug/re-connect the USB-Serial from the USB side of your PC/Laptop. (This causes the driver to unload/reload and enumerate)
2) Start up DSDownloader, and select Options->Auto Connect. Un-select Auto Connect.
3) Select Connection test tab. Your COM port and Baud rate (115200) should be selectable pull downs. Setup as per step 1.
4) Select Test.

If the test succeeds, DSDL will change to the Express Tune Mode tab.

When I do that i don't have a Test button just Help, COM, Buad then a check box for compressed send

what version of DSDL are you running?
Also, you need to give admin rights to DSDownloader.

Sorry i got the Test to display still says no tool detected
running the 2.2.1.9 How do I give ad min rights

I also right clicked and sleceted run as Ad min and it still didn't work.

Also, which USB-Serial adaptor and driver are you using?

Yeah I have tried all those I got it off ebay and using the 3.0.2 prolific driver.

Vista just blows....
