2010 RAM RT HEMI

Just installed predator in new truck. Used 93 octane tune. Didn't change performance in any noticeable way.

Went in to parameters to see about tweaking a few things. Now have more questions than answers. Can't find anything on predator site to provide guidance. How come you guys don't have any detailed technical and tuning instructions?

Questions:

1. Where are my shift settings? Can't find anything for firmness.
2. I tried to set initial advance a couple of degrees higher while leaving total advance the same. Can't do it. Your prompt says I must change both. Is there any way to bump up initial without changing total?
3. I tried to raise shift points from 5600 to 5800 or 6000. Neither will work. Still shifts at 5600. What's up with that?
4. I fooled around with the throttle sensitivity settings. No change in anything was detected. What is that setting supposed to do?
5. What does the "MBT" in the timing settings mean?
6. Do you have any recommendations for setting part throttle modes? What, exactly, does "APP" mean?
7. What is the process for returning this thing?

1. There is no firmness setting.

2. Not sure what you mean, are you asking about WOT and MBT? Why would you want to raise one and not the other, it will not do anything...

3. Can you export a copy of the last tune written after yo raise the shift point so we can take a look?

4. It changes the throttle opening rate.

5. Mean Brake Torque.

6. APP is accellerator pedal position.

7. Wish I would have seen this before I typed all of this out. Contact the dealer you got it from.

I spent the weekend using the cut and try approach and managed to figure out some of this on my own. I sent another thread concerning the data logger and then I found a list of data items on another thread.

So here are my current questions/concerns:

1. Autoanything.com sold me this thing but when I call them they become "autodontknowanything.com". They said to ask you so here I am!
2. The 93 octane tune didn't do anything for the truck. No bottom end at all, wouldn't even spin the tires. Using 93 octane Mobil. So I loaded in the 91 octane tune and that worked better. More bottom end but still not what I should be getting out of this engine. So I ran the data logger to see what I could read. Seems the engine is retarding itself 1 to 3 degrees at 4400 rpm. I want all of the low end I can get. Can I set the "MBT' timing in low range to +2 deg and then set the "MBT" timing in mid range to -2deg? Do I have to make the same adjustments in the WOT settings?
3. I notice the "base sprk" reading with the 91 octane tune reads 37.5 deg. Is that the total advance? Do you have the total advance values for stock? 91 octane tune? 93 octane tune?
4. I'm really disappointed that there is no shift firmness capability. That's one the main reasons I bought this programmer. Your instruction sheet for my programmer shows this capability and I bought it based on that (autodontknowanything.com didn't know).
Do you plan to offer transmission programming for this application? If so, when?

i adjusted my throttle up 15% and it makes a big difference in the feel, the 87 octane tunes works real good all around but i get the most power out of the 93 tune, but is is mostly noticeable at higher rpms. i noticed a big change right away. you might want to contact mike at tech support to get them to help out. good luck!

oh yeah, its funny,but i get the same average mpg for the 93 and the 87 tunes if i drive carefully. its just harder to do with the 93 tune!
