First I use BP gas exclusively but have seen a lot of negative comments here about Shell gasoline. Is it that bad with a predator tune ?

shell gas tends to be bad period... with or without a tune...
it tends to cause a lot of knock retard...
BUT, there are a couple of states that I've done tunes for people in, that use shell, and it was ok... which ones, I don't remember... but the overwhelming majority of the states in the US that I've done a lot more tunes in, shell gas was crap and caused a lot of knock retard - very noticable in people's data logs...
in the hundreds and hundreds of tunes I've done, and thousands of data logs I've looked through, the brands that have good results are mobil, exxon, sunoco, amoco, bp, and chevron...

where i live(texas) shell gas produces good results. I can even use 93 vpower with the 93 tune and get little to no KR

So what's your take on ethanol blended gas versus regular gas? I noticed most pumps around Houston have 10% ethanol blend.

couldn't really tell ya... I don't have anything to compare against...
here in Connecticut where I am, our gas contains ethanol too... but I've never had issues with the Mobil 93 octane I use...
had BIG issues with the Shell crap tho... hehe...
