Two questions

Post by Jruss »

I’m sure this has been answered in the past but I didn’t find it.
1: If I reinstall the factory backup tune, does that clear the factory backup from the Predator and automatically backup the custom tune from the vehicle? Than after returning from the dealer will the Predator automatically backup the factory tune again and reinstall my custom Predator tune?
2: If you install a new Revision, does that affect any of the custom or factory tunes for my vehicle?

Thanks for the info!

once you restore the original backup to the car, it is removed from the predator, and any/all custom tunes that were in the predator are erased as well...

you will need to re-import the custom tune into the predator...

before you update to a new revision on the predator, you have to restore the original backup to the vehicle first, otherwise it will get erased and you will lose it...

Is there anyway of knowing if the vehicle has in fact had the factory original backup restored?
I'm thinking I may have installed a a revision to the Predator without installing the original backup.
Last week I did install the backup and it appeared to go through the process as it should but how would I know if this was the original factory backup or a Predator tune?

power up the predator... go to options > show last tune written

what does it say???

if you restored the original backup to the car last, it will show "original backup"

if it says anything else, then you did not...
