Hey guys, i just bought an unlocked U7158 for my 2002 Lightning. It had its original firmware installed, so i downloaded the newest stuff from the website (9r03)... When i install it, it completes and says to wait for the tool to reboot.. but the tool goes to a blank screen and doesnt do anything. I let it sit for quite a while, and finally unplugged it to reboot it. It says "booting lightning", goes to 100%, then goes to a blank screen again.
So, i tried updating to an older firmware, 8r10, and it works fine. It installs, and boots normally.
Am i doing something wrong? Thanks..

sounds like a used/older version of the tool that can not use the newer/bigger revision updates...

From what I understand...
Version 8 is the same update as version 9, except it is for the "older" tool.
The new tool and version 9 supports 5 custom tunes inside the tool
The older tool supports version 8 and can only load one custom tune in the tool.
