Cole or whom it may concern,

My truck has not been to the Ford dealership in a couple of years and the computer has not been updated by them. It might not ever have been updated since it was new. I am running the 60HP tune in it right now and it is doing great. My question is should I let Ford update my cpu to their newest version?? I will not have it done or let them do it if it will keep my programmer from working.
My friends injectors cycle after he shuts his truck off and mine do not, and is telling me I need to have mine updated for the winter cold start issue.

You will actually be alright. VXBC9 family is actually current. What they update is the FICM (Fuel Injector Control Module) This is what controls the injectors with the update it will run the injectors for a min after you shut the truck off.
