2006 Chrysler 300c SRT8. Model U7135.... i think

I have installed a the tuner (91 cai performance) and will be getting a 180 t-stat today. What changes, if any do I have to make to the tune or do I have to change the fan settings and change them to what? Then do I install the new tune over the performance tune or put the stock back on and then reinstall then new one.

Lower all the fan settings by about 20*.

How do you do that? Through a predator tune? I looked and could not find any setting on the diablo tuner that indicated a degree change. Please let me know what i am doing wrong. Thank you!

Is this the official word on fan settings for the 180 tstat?

Diablo hasn't commented about the request for a sticky on fan settings posted on 08/23/2010.

At this time I do not have a tuner, but am seriously considering one.

So I set the stage saying I know very little about them (although I'm learning).

The simpleton question is: Why can't Diablo development a canned tuned that takes into account that folks are switching to a 180 tstat.

cuz a lot of people dont... nowadays, stock t-stats are 187* t-stats... so why bother switching...

for your car, yeah - stock is a 203* t-stat, so it makes sense to switch to a 180..

but in GM's, like my car for example, our stockers are already 187* t-stats...

The Hemis have 203° T-stats from the factory. Anybody who has any desire for performance swaps to a 180. In fact the older CROMs had the fans set for them. But then people without them started bitching about their fans being on all the time, so it was switched to the turn ons for the stock T-Stat.

yeah, just realized that... looked it up about the hemi's t-stats... so edited my post...

Us GM'ers, have 187*'s....

That sure would change the "You need the 203* thermostat to get your oil up to 220* so any condensation will boil off. . ." statements.

Fan settings are in modify parameters and there are about 9 settings A/C on/off. Set your med and high the same temps.

Heat a pan of water to 180*, and see how much water vapor comes off of it.
You don't have to be over 212* to dispel condensation.
