04 GMC 2500 w/ 8.1L Ally - BOG! (fixed)

I just got an U7193 for my 04 GMC 2500HD with the 8.1L, i upgraded it to the new version and everything seems to work.

when i install the predator tune or the 87 octane tune the truck runs like crap! it bogs like the timming is WAY off and you are pulling a 100,000lbs behind the truck. it will stay in first untill its at about 4K and then clearup and launch hard into 2nd. if i keep the RPM's up the truck runs fine. if they get below 3K it will bog down and the engine temps start to raise (too much fuel) and fall on its face. the tunes that came with this tuner are WAY OFF!

i am a full blown GM LSX engine guru (i have an LS1 in my jeep with my own EFI Live tune , and several stand alone 6.0L for street rods) so i know alittle about tuning. i got the DS to give a hand held a try and see if they work. (not so far)

i have a stock 8.1L, stock MAF, no CAI, tight hose clamps, the truck is in perfect mechinical shape.

do i have a bad tune from the u7193? seeing as how the ally is not supported with a handheld do i just set the trans to manual?

well, after doing some searching seems i am not the only one who has this problem. i found no response from diablosport in any forum. is there a fix for the 8.1l bog? my ltft are 8 ish...not good.

here is my org backup. i will have to go home to get the last tune but i will get it to you.

also,i have u7193-9r11.crom installed on the tuner.

is there just an inherent problem with the some 8.1L PCM's accepting tunes? what did GM do on the o4's? i will give it a try.

should i also give you the predator tune off the programmer as well?

some of the 8.1s are a bit finicky.

If you want a 93 version of this tune, make sure this one is OK, then export the last tune written again and post it here, we'll make you a 93 version of it.

it is saying custom tune does not match original vehicle tune and will not be installed when i go to install it on the truck.

do i put my backup that i sent you back on the tuner and try again or do i rename the "new" 87 octane tune the same file name and try to over write the 87 tune that came with my tuner?

not sure whats going on but i just re-downloaded my ORNG backup off the programmer.

the "fix" file didnt work. said did not match orng backup.

when i downloaded the orng backup off the truck today, saved it to the desk top, and then tried to upload the file the DSdownloader said it didnt match the origanal. but when i used the one i posted here it worked....weird.
