I've got a U7198 with firmware version 2.11 installed on it. Would I benefit any by sending it back and having it upgraded to the current firmware version? It's being used on a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado w/ a 5.3L gas engine.

2.11 to the newer one would not benefit you as the updates did not address your 02 truck.
