Corvette Mj 09 Z06 - Lean Code

Post by markus »

Hello together,

Maybe someone here could help me with my issue on a Z06 Mj. 09.

I have the issue that the car stumbles after start and then when driving for about 2 km it seem like a plug comes off an the car runs fine until I shot off the engine and than start again. I have the same effect on cold and warm engine.
Always the same issue.

I have the fault code left and right bank lean fuel.

I changed following parts already.

Air mass meter
Fuel Injectors
Spark Plugs
Map Sensor

Does anyone have any suggestion for me?

Thanks

Markus

so you put in an aftermarket MAF sensor??? bad mistake... remove it, throw it in the garbage... and put the stock GM MAF sensor back on the car...

do not use aftermarket MAF sensors...

I think that was the list of parts he swapped out trying to fix his issue (ouch).

have you checked/changed the spark plug wires???

I had a guy last week that I did a tune for, he suddenly had a very similar issue... come to find out, one of his plug wires had come up/loose from the plug... it was not put all the way back on when he changed the plugs...

Hello,

we have put in a Stock MAF from GM not Aftermarket at least we bought it at the GM Dealer.
The car only has 20.000 km. After it ran for around 2 km it feels as if something pops of and the car runs fine. Until than it is holding back and shaking.

I will get another MAF and try again.

Thx

Remove your throttle body and inspect it... You are looking for clear plastic that has not been removed properly at the factory during assembly.

Hi Ill_Born_SS,

there was a black carton there and we removed it.

The issue is still there after this.

I am still waiting for the new MAF and hoep that this will solve it.

Thanks

There is either a piece of material in your idle speed system some where (probably above the pintle of the idle speed motor causing it to stick open until the computer moves it and then vacum moves it and allows everything to stabilize) or your PCV valve is is sticking or installed backwards.

What Diablo product you using, If you can do a log (short list or all parameters). Start the log before you start the engine and continue it for the 2 or so minuites it takes to stabilize, then post it here as a .csv
