05 6.0 -- EGR Delete tune modification / Turbo lag question

Post by jtc1983 »

Hello,

Could someone modify my tune to allow for the egr delete that I just did. I am not getting a CEL but I there are trouble codes shown in the computer.

I should ask first, is there any other reason to modify the tune other than to keep the CEL off? I have noticed more turbo lag when I went back from 9r11 to 8r10. Would this have anything to do with that? I was also sent 8r14 ( I believe) by mikeL, but havent tried it yet. Has anyone noticed better performance or fuel economy with 8r14 as opposed to 8r10? My truck has VXCF4 (if memory serves me) back on it as opposed to the VXCF9 that i recently removed.
Thanks!

You will need a custom tune for that. You can contact us via email or the link below and we can assist you.

Tuning SS,
Is there a benefit to getting a custom tune other then clearing the CEL (which I am not getting)? If so, what would it help? Thanks.

Yes, we can adjust fuel and boost tables for additional power and throttle response, and in most cases fuel economy.
