Hello,

I have a 2008 Dodge Charger R/T and I have a new Predator. I recently did the EGR delte MOD and the newer Predator does not have the EGR delete option so my engine light is on.

How do I load an earlier crom onto my pred so that I can delete the EGR and load the maps and everything else?

So, am I understanding correctly? You are saying that I can NOT load an r12 crom onto a new predator (with a r27 crom)?

Also, I attempted to do so and now my Predator is jacked up. I turn it off and when I plug it back up, it goes through the registering process and then the screen says "launching App" and then it just stays there. How do I get it "unstuck" or reset?

Correct, new tools can not go backwards.

try reloading 9r27.

How? The screen is stuck on "launching app". It will not go to the menu.

don't worry about the menu... get it hooked up to your computer... power it up... start up the dsdownloader, and update tool again and use the 9r27 crom revision file...

Thanks alot...I will try that. I have another question. If the new predator does not accept an older crom, how does it accept a custom tune?

Also, how do I get rid of the "Engine Light" after the EGR Mod?

You get a custom tune done. They removed that option because it's illegal to modify anything emissions related. By making you get a custom tune, the heat is off them and onto the custom tuner if they decide to turn it off for you.

Ok, are we talking a dyno machine tune or a tune that can be created and emailed to me? If so, who does them?

You can get an email tune done. For just an EGR turn off Tuning SS on here seems to be the way to go. Thier prices are lowest.

You know this really kind of sucks, one of the main reasons I bought the predator was to delete the EGR and disable the MDS. That was one of the selling points for this purchase. Now you say that it can't be done with these new ones. I was told by someone here that you could load the 9r12 and use it(on the phone). So now I have to pay more money to make your product do what it is supposed to do- what I want it to do!

If it is an older tool, yes.

How old does it have to be? How can you tell?
