Sweet Update!

Post by DHufton »

I just want to start off by saying WOW!!!! The new Trinity update for my 2009 Silverado 5.3L 6spd is amazing. Too amazing for me though. When I go to WOT, my truck downshifts HARD. What I mean by this is when I was doing about 75mph and went to WOT, my truck barked the tires and took off like a rocket. I did this three separate times, over about a 75 mile period, to make sure that it wasn't because the ECM was still "learning" the new tune (plus I was enjoying it A LOT). I would never believe this if it hadn't of happened to me. By the way, I installed the high octane tune and turned off the speed limiter and DOD. I can't believe that I'm asking this, but is there any way that I can calm down the WOT downshifting just a little bit? It downshifts so hard that I'm afraid that my tranny and/or rearend can't handle it. Any advise? Is this normal? Thanks!

Does his bark the tires doing 75mph? I never thought that a stock 5.3L would be capable of this. Awesome job Johan!!!
